Weirdo Way Everyday Guidelines
Now that you’ve stepped into the wacky world of Weirdo Scouts, here how to live the Weirdo Way every day. These aren’t your typical scout rules or honor code, but a simple guide to making a more positive impact on the world around you. As a Weirdo Scout, simply trying your best to live the Weirdo Way is enough for us!
Kindness is our potion of choice. Sprinkle it everywhere. Compliment a stranger, lend a hand, and always choose empathy over judgment. Be the kind of stranger you wish you met on rough days out in the world.
Celebrate what makes you different and encourage others to do the same. Normal is for dishwasher settings, not living things. Weird is wonderful, and no matter how big or small, your quirks are what make you, YOU.
Never stop learning. Ask questions, seek new experiences, and dive into the unknown with an open heart and an open mind. Whether it’s looking out to the stars, deep into our species’ history, or just finding out where shoelaces come from, curiosity may have killed the cat, but Weirdo Scouts know that satisfaction brought it back!
Be an eco-eccentric! Reduce, reuse, recycle, and respect nature. From the tiniest insects to the very air we breathe, it’s our job to try and work together with Mother Nature to help every one of us thrive! Small changes make a big impact, so let’s keep our Earth weird and wonderful.
Let your creativity run wild! Getting older never has to mean “growing up” when it comes to our brains’ love of playing and creating- in fact, as we age these things help keep your brain active and engaged with the world around you. Whether it’s art, music, writing, or just playing with new ideas, make time for fun and imagination.
Connect with others, lift them up, and create spaces where everyone feels welcome. Being unique has often been an isolating experience for many, but it doesn’t have to stay that way if we work together. We’re all in this weird adventure together, so let’s make it a supportive and inclusive ride for any creature that wants to come along.
Life’s a rollercoaster, but keeping a positive outlook can make all the difference. No matter how hard things get, we stay determined to fight for the better because we’re grateful for those who did the same before us and want to spread a message of hope, not fear. Find joy in the little things, laugh often, and spread good vibes wherever you go.
