Camp WaddaWeerdo:
A Sanctuary for Everyone
A Camp for All Ages – A Home for Foster Teens
Imagine a vast, peaceful camp located in the middle of a green forest, full of creativity, laughter, and the rustling of leaves in the air. This camp would welcome anyone from a small child to a senior citizen who wanted to learn, yet our hearts would particularly embrace teens in the foster care system. Here, they would discover a sanctuary where they could express themselves, uncover their passions, and connect with a community that celebrates their uniqueness.
Conservation Education and Sustainable Living
Our camp would be the most dynamic nature classroom ever. We would offer education for everybody with conservation projects run on the grounds, sustainable living workshops, and natural world explorations year-round. Activities from tree planting to building wildlife habitats would provide learning experiences about our environment and the importance of preserving it.
The Rescue Animal Program:
Learning Through Connection
Fostering Bonds with Rescued Creatures
No dream camp would be complete without a vibrant rescue animal program. Our rescued furry, feathered, and scaly friends would be more than just companions – they’d be our educators and friends. Our students will learn empathy, responsibility, and the deepness of the connection between humans and animals by interacting and caring for these creatures. That translates into mornings feeding goats, afternoons training rescue dogs, and evenings with the soothing calls of our resident owls.

An Engaging, Heartwarming Series
Our camp would be the perfect venue for the Weirdo Scouts TV show. Picture a program melding live-action adventures, captivating puppetry, stunning Claymation, and enchanting animation. A sprinkling of science, DIY, mysteries, nature, with subplots all about kindness, creativity, and inclusiveness created by weirdos, for weirdos. As part of the creative side of the project, we would teach these skills to all Weirdo Scouts who visit the camp to help inspire more storytellers around the world!
Community Outreach:
Centers for Conservation and Creative Arts
Empowering Local Communities
Running away from the camp, we would be a community outreach program that is centered on conservation and creative arts. These vibrant local hubs would offer programs that unlock the ability in people of all ages to become environmental stewards as well as advocates of kindness. Each center would serve as a beacon of positive change, fostering a culture of creativity and empathy in its community.
Weirdo Scout Troops:
One Movement Connecting Communities Worldwide
Fully realized, Weirdo Scouts will become an international movement where troops have been formed in local communities around the globe. Each of them would represent their own homegrown flavor of Weirdo Scout life, but still connect to share stories, ideas, and projects with others on our online platform. In this way, it would be a network that is active for kindness, creativity, and being stewards of the planet we are so lucky to share.
Bringing the Vision to Reality
This vision is magnificent, ambitious, and slightly whimsical, but with the fire in the bellies of Weirdo Scouts like you and contributions from the community, it’s doable. We can transform this vision into reality through time, expertise, and resources. Let’s imagine a world where individuality is celebrated, kindness flows freely, and creativity and ingenuity know no bounds. Together, we can make this vision a reality.
